Got questions? We’ve got answers!
At Brockman Insurance Group, we are here to help you navigate the ins and outs of insurance in Florida.
Here are a sample of the most common questions we are asked.

No, unfortunately we have limited options for bundling however, we can offer discounts for young drivers who have good grades (proof of report card required) as well as for drivers who have a safe driving history. This would mean no tickets or accidents.

Homeowner’s & Property Insurance

In Florida, if you carry a mortgage, your lender will require you to have a homeowner’s insurance policy. This policy will protect you and your home in the event of damage or accident.
Yes, liability insurance is typically covered in a standard homeowners insurance policy.
No, it is not. You can purchase a separate policy for flood insurance.
An umbrella policy is not a requirement, however it acts as a safety net to protect your assets. If you are sued and damages exceed the coverage of your existing policies, particularly your home or auto insurance policies, an umbrella policy will provide the additional coverage. This policy is additional liability coverage that goes beyond your other coverage. Auto Insurance

In Florida, you must carry a minimum of $10,000 Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and $10,000 in Property Damage Liability (PDL)
While you are not required to purchase anything over the minimum, we highly recommend that you increase your coverage. Florida has a growing population which means more drivers are on the road. This increases your chance of being in an accident. By increasing your insurance, you increase your coverage. We also recommend bodily injury liability insurance to protect your financial assets.
We recommend bodily injury liability, collision coverage, comprehensive coverage and underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage
Bodily injury covers others’ injuries if you are at fault for the accident, while comprehensive and collision cover damage to your own vehicle from accidents or other events that are not accident related such as theft or storm damage. Uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage protects you if the at-fault driver has insufficient insurance.
No. You are not required to carry every type of coverage within your auto insurance policy. The only requirement is Bodily Injury Liability Insurance. Most states require this. It pays for the medical expenses, pain, suffering and lost wages of other people in the event you cause an accident.
They both coverage damages to my vehicle, but specifically how are these coverages different? While both of these coverages are optional, they offer different protection. Collision coverage pays to repair or replace your vehicle after a collision with an object or another vehicle regardless of who is at fault. The other object could be a guardrail, tree, building structure. Comprehensive coverage provides protection to your vehicle for non-collision events such as hail, vandalism, fire and theft.

No. However, we do have specific insurance policies for all of those types of vehicles.
